Florence - Classic Hotel (1 night)
This relaxing hotel provides a peaceful respite from sometimes hectic Florence.  It's housed in a 19th century villa, on lovely tree-covered grounds near the Boboli Gardens (about a 15 minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio). 

Radda in Chianti - Fattoria Castelvecchi  (1 night)
In the early middle ages, Castelvecchi was a walled village of some importance. Today it's an "agriturismo", a working farm and wine producer that is open for tourist stays.  They've been growing grapes here for a thousand years!

Siena - Castello di Leonina  (2 nights)
The castle was a military fortress dating to the 13th century, and later the country residence of the Chigi family and Pope Alexander VII.  Fully restored in 2003, it's now open as a luxury hotel. There's a terrace with marvelous views.

Pienza - Il Chiostro di Pienza  (1 night)
Housed in a 15th century convent, this hotel is in the heart of Pienza, next to the Duomo.  Right off the town's main street, everything you want to see is in easy walking distance, yet the hotel maintains some of the serenity of its former life.

Sovana - Hotel Scilla  (1 night)
Built into a series of historic buildings, this hotel is well located for visiting the sights in the medieval (and Etruscan before that) village of Sovana.  Rooms are elegant -- each with its own personality and unique furnishings.
