Sedona is in the Arizona desert, at an elevation of about 4,500 ft. Due to the elevation,
it averages about 10 degrees cooler than Phoenix.
Winter brings chilly temperatures and the longest rains, along with an occasional snowfall.
Summer brings monsoon season, with hot days and afternoon thunderstorms. Spring and fall
are the most pleasant times to visit.

- J. R. Ripley, 188 pp. This murder mystery set at a New Age
conference in Sedona has a lightweight plot, wacky characters, and frequent humor.
Angel and the Badman
- John Wayne & Gail Russell, DVD. Old timey western, shot in Sedona. Gunslinger (the Duke) is injured, then taken in and cared for by a Quaker family with a beautiful daughter.
