seasona Being in the southern hemisphere, the seasons in Patagonia are reversed from those we have in North America. Summer runs from December to March. January and February are the warmest months, though it can also be windy near the southern tip at this time.

In March, Buenos Aires has average highs of 79 degrees. In Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world and very close to Antarctica, average highs at the same time are 55. Here are links for more details:

The Wild Shores of Patagonia: The Valdes Peninsula & Punta Tombo - Jasmine Rossi, 224 pp.   Photographs of wildlife & seascapes, and discussion of whales, seals, and other wildlife.
