13-Day India Tour from Delhi - Secrets of India

This tour will allow you to explore the fantastic land of India full of mysteries and enigmas. Starting from Dehli, travel around this mesmerising country enjoying all its treasures, abundant nature and warm-hearted people!
Day 1: Delhi
Arrive to Delhi where you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Spend the night at the hotel and have some time at leisure.

Day 2: Delhi
After breakfast enjoy half a day tour around Old Delhi which is an ancient city, an important cultural and government center, and a major travel attraction. It is also a huge gateway being one of India's busiest entrance points for various overseas airlines, as well as the hub of the North Indian travel network. Among the places you might find worth visiting and admiring to visit:

- Jama Masjid
- Gandhi Memorial Museum
- Raj Ghat
- Red Fort (Closed on Mondays)

Also you may enjoy a popular rickshaw ride around Old Delhi, after which spend the night in a nice hotel.

Day 3: Delhi
After breakfast enjoy another half a day tour around New Delhi and see such attractions as:

- India Gate
- Qutub Minar
- Humayun's Tomb
- The Government building that is lining the Jan path.

Besides, you have an option to visit the famous Indian Temples:
- Lotus Temple that is lotus shaped, crafted of marble, cement, dolomite and sand, and is open to all religions. This place is ideal for meditations and obtaining peace and tranquility!
- Bangla Sahib - a renowned historical and religious place that is dedicated to the eighth Sikh Guru Sri Harkishen Sahib and is located near the Connaught Place Market in New Delhi.
- Akshardham Temple that presents the majestic world of Indian culture ornate, exposing around 20000 statues, floral motifs, arches and carved pillars.

Day 4: Delhi - Varanasi (flight)(ETD 1040 hrs ETA 1150 hrs)
Fly to Varanasi, check into your hotel, rest a bit - and we will be happy to welcome you at the excursion to Sarnath later in the afternoon! Only 13 kilometers from Varanasi there is Isipathana, now called Sarnath, which is the deer park where the Buddha first proclaimed the Dhamma to the world. The Sarnath's ruins are surrounded by the wonderful and well-preserved gardens, and are a very cozy and pleasant place for walks ad meditations. Please pay attention to the following sights:
- Asoka's pillar - the ruins of the Mulagandhakuti
- Harmed Stupa

After that you can explore the old city - take a ride by bus, by car, or simply walk if you prefer - and explore its narrow lanes, see the Golden Temple from outside, visit the Burning Ghat and take a Boat to view the sunset Aarti Puja from the Ganges River (from 6:30 to 7:30 PM).
Walk, ride or take a rickshaw back to the hotel.

Day 5: Varanasi- Khajuraho (flight)(ETD 1220 hrs ETA 1300 hrs)
Early in the morning you will have an exciting boat ride along the Ganges river, followed by a breakfast in your hotel. After that you will fly to Khajuraho. On arrival Assistance on arrival at airport followed by assisted arrival transfer to the hotel. On arrival check into the hotel.
Enjoy the temple tour of Khajuraho - the Chattarpur district that housed the Chandella dynasty in the 11th Century and is famous to date for its exotic temples with their breathtaking carving.

Day 6: Khajuraho - Orchha - Jhansi - Agra (Train)
khajuraho/Orchha: 107 miles, driving time - 03 hrs and 48 mins; Orchha/Jhansi: 11 miles driving time - 30 mins

After breakfast, you will drive to Jhansi, with paying a visit to Orchha en route. This medieval town has preserved a wonderful palace & multiple temples built in the 17th and 18th centuries (bear in mind that there is no guide in Orccha provided). Also you might find it interesting to explore the following attractions:

-The Chaturbhuj
-Raja Ram Mandirs, etc.

After that you will drive to Jhansi railway station and take a train to Agra.

Day 7: Agra
Agra is home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World - the majestic Taj Mahal! Once the capital of Mughal Empire, Agra is still full of amazing buildings.
NOTE: Tai Mahal is closed on every Friday.
After breakfast you will explore more of Agra, and among the places you might find interesting there are:

-The Red For
-The Itmad-ul-daulah

Also the Akbar International Factory of Marble is quite an interesting place.

Day 8: Agra - Fateh Pur Sikri - Jaipur Agra - Fateh
Pur Sikri: 22 miles, driving time - 01 hrs
Fateh Pur Sikri - Jaipur: 128 miles, driving time - 04 hrs and 46 mins

After an early breakfast, you will be taken to Jaipur, and make stops to visit Fatehpur Sikri, "the Ghost City, which lies to the west of Agra. You will have the afternoon and evening at leisure, which will make it possible to explore the colourful markets of Pink city!

OPTIONALLY (at the fee of $ 123.00 per person) you may enjoy the fascinating Elephant safari at Dera Amber, Jaipur, with a dinner included (the fee does not cover drinks). The elephant treks are created in the original Aravali forests surrounding the camp. You will pass authentic Indian villages, fields, picturesque hills and ancient monuments on your way. Admire the birds, the plants and other samples of wildlife that you will see in the forest! Particularly impressive are the sunset elephant treks.

Jaipur the capital of Rajasthan, and it boasts exquisite buildings of rose-colored terra cotta. That is why it is called "the pink city" and looks particularly amazing during the dusk.
You will also drive to the Amber fort where you will enjoy an elephant ride, and after that spend half of the day touring aroung Jaipur. Some of the places that you will visit include:

- City Palace
- Jantar Mantar
- Hawa Mahal (From out side only)

Day 10: Jaipur/Udaipur (flight via Mumbai)(ETD 0730 hrs ETA 1215 hrs)

Spend the remaining part of the day at leisure exploring the city or taking some rest.

Day 11: Udaipur
You will enjoy a city tour starting immediately after breakfast, and during this tour you will see:
-The Maharana's City Palace located on the edge of the lake Pichola
-The Sahelion ki Bari - an outstanding sample of the art of landscaping
-Crystal Gallery and Miniature Painting shops

A Seat Basis boat ride on the Lake and a visit to the Jag Mandir are planned in the evening. Jag Mandir, the first island palace of Lake Pichola, was built by Maharana Karan Singhji in 1622 AD.

Day 12: Udaipur - Delhi (flight) (ETD 1350 hrs ETA 1520 hrs)
You will fly to Delhi after breakfast and enjoy a farewell buffet dinner in a great local restaurant. Please note that the fees do not include drinks. After dinner you will be provided the assisted departure transfer to the international airport for connecting the flight for onwards journey.

OPTIONALLY (at the fee of $ 83.00 per person) you may visit:
- Taj Mahal and the Red Fort in Agra
- a Bollywood musical show in Gurgaon (2 hours; closed on every Monday; starts at 19:30)
