Stuff you gotta know...
Your Responsibilities
Your first responsibility is to choose a trip that's suitable for your
interests, abilities, and fitness level. See
Which Trip is Right for You. Beyond that, each traveler has certain
other responsibilities.
Travel arrangements
Airfare or other travel to the trip starting point is not included, and you
need to make these arrangements. For assistance in arranging air
transportation or hotels before or after your trip, we recommend that you
contact your travel agency.
We do not recommend the purchase of nonrefundable airline tickets.
Travel documents
Most international destinations require a passport.
Some destinations also have visa requirements. These requirements are
covered in the Adventure Essentials packet you
will receive after making your reservation.
Health
If you have any health conditions that could pose a
concern, it is your responsibility to consult your physician before
registering for the trip. Your Adventure Essentials packet will contain
health information for your trip’s destination, with required and
recommended immunizations, and country-specific health recommendations.
Clothing & Gear
You are responsible for packing clothing, footwear and
gear appropriate for the trip. You'll find a packing list in your
Adventure
Essentials packet, with recommendations for the trip's activities and
conditions, and guidance on appropriate evening wear. Be sure to take rain
gear for all trips, so that you can be comfortable no matter what the
conditions.
Additional guest responsibilities
* Completing and returning your Participant Information and Release of Liability forms.
* Preparing for the trip by studying the Adventure Essentials packet
* Arriving at the trip start location at the correct time.
* Respecting the laws and customs of all areas visited.
* Being considerate and respectful of other group members, and people we meet along the way.
* Not smoking in vans, shared hotel rooms, restaurants, or where otherwise prohibited
* Observing guidelines to protect the environment
If the trip leader feels that any individual's
participation poses a problem for the well-being of the individual or other
group members, the leader has the right to ask that member to leave the
trip.
