The Recession Ate My Vacation!
JUNE 24, 2009 - Mesa, AZ
Did the recession eat your vacation? If so, share your frustration
with a "Recession Ate It" t-shirt, and help a child in need at the
same time.
Plenty of people won't be taking that Hawaiian vacation this year. For a lot
of people, this year's vacation will be a bit different...
2009 vacation plans:
* Road trip to Bakersfield?
* Visit the relatives in Amarillo?
* Pitch a tent in the back yard, and roast marshmallows over the barbecue?
Did the recession eat YOUR vacation? If so, share your frustration
with the world, with a colorful "Recession Ate It" t-shirt, coffee mug, mouse pad, or
more. Find these brand new, original goodies at
www.RecessionAteIt.com.
"Recession Ate It" is the creation of travel company Adventurous Wench.
Founder Deanna Keahey said "I've heard from so many people who can't take the
vacation they wanted this year. Some had to cancel due to a job loss.
Others took a pay cut, are working decreased hours, or see their own business spiraling
downward. It's a beastly situation, that's affecting almost all of us."
$1 from every shirt purchased will go to
a charity which helps children in need. As millions of parents have lost jobs
and their ability to pay for health care and other necessities, more and more children are left at risk.
Keahey says "Many of us have had to cut back in this recession, including giving
up that vacation. But some people are hurting a lot more than others, including
innocent children. I want to help however we can. We're all in this together."
