Sailing in the Caribbean

Another day in paradise

Relaxing at anchor

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sailing in Style with Adventurous Wench

SEPT. 27, 2004 - Mesa, AZ

Cruising the Caribbean on a luxurious sailing yacht, stopping in small coves large cruise ships can't visit...  Truly a dream vacation!  What if you don't know the bow from the boom, or a jib from a jibe?  What if you don't have a dozen friends to split the cost of a charter?  Adventurous Wench lets everyone enjoy this fabulous way to see the islands.

Singles or couples are welcome to join a sailing week in the British Virgin Islands, on a top-of-the-line sailing catamaran that carries 10 guests in air-conditioned comfort.  A captain and crew take care of all your needs, from driving the boat, to showing you the best snorkeling sites, to preparing gourmet meals.  Beginning sailors can learn the ropes from a patient captain, or just sit back and leave the sailing to the experts.  Experienced sailors will love this chance to sail a high-performance yacht in the Caribbean trade winds.

Adventurous Wench founder Deanna Keahey is a sailing enthusiast herself.  "The British Virgin Islands are a spectacular cruising area, with secluded anchorages, colorful coral reefs, and great sailing conditions.  The most intimate and exciting way to experience them is on a private yacht.  There's nothing like the feeling of riding the breeze, wind in your hair, as you sail from island to island."

It's not just sailing, either.  Guests can swim, snorkel, scuba dive, kayak, windsurf, water-ski, or more.  Equipment is provided for a large variety of watersports, or you can opt for dry land and tour the nearest island.  Not feeling energetic?  Just lie in the hammock with a rum punch, listening to Caribbean tunes.

Adventurous Wench specializes in trips for women, and offers a "girls' week in the islands" November 28.  For those who like traveling as a couple, there's a coed departure December 5.  Keahey says "these early season departures let us pass along special savings and this great value to our guests."  The 7-day trip starts and ends in Tortola, BVI.  The price is $2045 per person, including yacht accommodation and transportation, all meals (prepared by the yacht's chef), open bar, and a wide variety of water sports.  Scuba diving is available for additional cost.

What's next?  In 2005, Adventurous Wench will be sailing through the Greek Islands.  Talk about a dream vacation!
