Stuff you gotta know...
Cancellations & refunds
Cancellations and refunds
If you must cancel your reservation, notify us as in
writing as soon as possible. Cancellations are effective upon receipt in
our office. You will be assessed a cancellation penalty depending on how
far in advance we receive this notification, as shown on the accompanying
chart. This is necessary to cover nonrefundable payments we’ve made, and
the loss of time available to resell your space. You will receive a refund
of all payments made to date, minus the applicable penalty. There are no
exceptions to this policy, including weather, sickness, or terrorism. We
advise you to purchase trip insurance, which will protect you in case of a
medical emergency.

Single supplements are considered part of the trip
price and are subject to cancellation fees. There is no refund for arriving
late or leaving a trip early. Prices are quoted as a package, and no
partial refunds will be given for unused hotel rooms, meals, or other trip
arrangements, for any reason whatsoever.
Cancellation by company
Though we do our best to avoid this, it may
occasionally become necessary for Adventurous Wench to cancel a trip. We
reserve the right to cancel a trip due to insufficient sign-up, or any other
cause. If a trip is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will be notified
at least 30 days in advance. In this case, you will receive a full refund
of all payments received to date, plus a voucher good for $100 on any other
Adventurous Wench trip during the next 18 months.
If a trip is cancelled due to natural disaster, strike,
or other event outside our control, we cannot guarantee 30 days notice, but
you will receive a full refund of all payments made.
Refund of payments made constitutes full settlement,
and releases Adventurous Wench from any further liability. Adventurous
Wench is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by trip
members preparing for a canceled trip, such as nonrefundable airline tickets
or passport fees.
Transfers
If you change your plans and wish to transfer to a
different trip, we can give you a different reservation (subject to
availability), and transfer all payments you have made to the new
reservation. If you notify us of such a change more than 90 days before the
original departure date, there is no fee and no penalty for this change. If
the change notification is within 90 days of the original trip departure,
the usual cancellation policy will apply.
Trip changes
Trip itineraries are subject to change due to
unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, transportation problems,
or an unexpected business closure. Our trip leaders are experienced
professionals, and may need to adjust the itinerary to compensate. We’re
also continually looking for ways to improve our trips. We may have
discovered a special new place since the itinerary was published, that we’d
like to share with you. We endeavor to keep trip costs as published.
However, since trips are planned far in advance, we reserve the right to
change the trip price due to circumstances beyond our control, including
extreme currency fluctuations.
