But every time I'm out there, I think "Gee, I should do this more often!" :-) I'd really like to go out often enough to catch the whole flowering cycle of an individual plant, rather than just snapshots in time. But this cacti is something new for me and the size and shape of the flower resembles that of Aster. It is amazing to see such a big flower on top of a very small cactus.
