I haven't tried it on hotels myself, but Renee's off right now making use of an astonishing deal she got on a hotel for the long weekend, so I know it can work!

Thank you for the information. I have used Priceline several times for hotel stays and saved a few hundred dollars, but I have been tentative about using the site for airfare. If I encounter a situation like yours where I am faced with a $950 airfare for a last minute trip, I may just give Priceline a try!

This is so relevant these days. I have been using Priceline for years to get the best deal. Thanks for the tip on bidontravel.com! My friends ask me for travel advice all the time, now I can refer them there for a little education.

Good information - my schedule is often in flux and I usually don't know until the last minute if I can go somewhere or not, and I often don't travel because I can't find a decent fare at the last minute. I may travel more now!
