I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but by the number of times I succeed; and the number of times I succeed is in direct proportion to the number of times I can fail and keep on trying."
~ Tom Hopkins
I picked out this quote to post about Monday morning, but when the time came to write it, I kept putting it off. The problem was, I didn't even want to think about the concept of failure today. It's like admitting the word into my thoughts or onto a blog post could bring it about.
Of course, this goes totally against the whole point of the quote, which is that "failure" is just a step on the way to success. You've got to keep trying, even when things aren't going your way. And that's something I can absolutely believe in, on good days or bad! The "secret" to success is to just keep trying. No matter what -- just keep going.
So I guess that's my way around the "failure" issue. You haven't really failed until you stop trying. Until that point, it's just deferred success. ![]()

We just wrapped up a women's trip to Santa Fe & Taos, which was as beautiful as ever. I'll write something about it soon!

Good reminder and the key to most successful people .. no matter how many times they get knocked down they just kept getting back up. Thanks for the post.

You're so right! Just keep getting back up -- you're not down & out until you stay down. That means there's always hope - you just have to keep up your optimism, and be persistant! (-:
