“Is not life a hundred times too short…”

Monday quote:
Is not life a hundred times too short to be bored?”
~ Friedrich Nietzsche
Looking at a different angle… Is not every minute of every hour too precious to be bored? With all there is in the world, I can’t even imagine being bored!
PS. OK, OK, I admit sometimes waiting for the airport shuttle comes close!

I couldn’t agree more! Waiting for the airport shuttle, or waiting on a delayed flight to take off….that’s pretty boring but usually then I just find myself people watching!

I fully agree. It bugs me to hear young folks say that they are bored. Usually they mean they want to be enertained. They could instead go out and enjoy the world and never be bored.

I feel like people who are bored must not be seeing the same things I’m seeing. How can you possibly be bored when there’s a world full of interesting things to learn and do, and interesting people to meet?
And Erin — good about the people watching — always entertaining. It’s a time-honored tradition to sit at a European sidewalk cafe & people-watch, but you can do the same thing in any airport, on the street, in line at the supermarket… (-:
